5 Steps to the Perfect Candy Buffet
Candy buffets are a fun way to engage your guests, present fun favors, and incorporate an entertaining dessert into your event. Read on for tips on creating the perfect candy bar in five easy steps.
1. Select different types and sizes of vases and jars.
A great candy bar is made with a variety of fun sizes and styles of vases. Apothecary jars are great for candy bars, but variety is key. Use a mix of different bowls, tall cylinders, and other containers to add levels to your display. See a complete list of the vases and jars available through Dan D Party Corner here.
2. Choose your candy selection.
There are endless types of candy in a multitude of colors and flavors, many of which are available in bulk. Before you hit the internet though, be sure to check first with your local candy store to see what deals they can give you. Many shops are able to order in particular colors to match you palette and sometimes that’s a better option than paying for shipping.
3. Pick a to-go bag for your guests.
Whether you choose a DIY option or to order them in, your favor bag needs to represent you and your event. The bags should be no larger than the size of your hand and should be sturdy enough to be filled with candy and not torn.
4. Select an accent piece for the table.
Being both a dessert and a favor, your candy bar will be a focal point of your event and as such is the perfect opportunity to use fun colors or a statement piece to draw your guests’ attention. Try using different sizes, colors, and textures of linen to accent your bar. View a full list of Dan D Party Corner’s linen selection here.
5. Create a decorative banner or backdrop.
Banners and backdrops will add depth to your display. It also allows you to personalize your candy bar for your event. Take the time to decorate it with your theme or add a backdrop that complements your designs elsewhere in the party.
